_b _b _c _aABSTRACT: Micro and Small Enterprises bear the burden of numerous inventory management issues. This study explored the moderating role of databases and information systems on the relationship between inventory management and operational performance. To support this, the study gathered the approaches MSEs implement-whether manual or digital-to manage their inventory. Explicitly, the study will assess the current inventory management practices MSEs implement in terms of forecasting demand, adjusting service levels, and ordering and replenishing inventory. It will also explore the current operational performance while also gathering effective operational strategies that enterprises can adopt for their own operations. A correlational and descriptive survey design was employed to gather insights from the participants belonging to MSEs from Tondo, Divisoria, and Binondo, Manila. The data for this endeavour was collected through a self-administered survey and direct communication with enterprises, encouraging them and their qualified contacts to participate. The primary information was analysed through frequency and percentage, mean and standard deviation, Spearman's Rank-Order Correlation, as well as Structural Equation Modeling. The findings presented that inventory management and operational performance have a significant relationship. However, databases and information systens have not established a moderating effect on the analysed relationship between the aforementioned variables. This written material provides valuable insights into the significance of effective inventory management-reinforcing studies that emphasize the role of predicting demand, differential service levels, adjusted ordering and replenishment strategies, and maximizing resources for the success and efficiency of an enterprise. _u |
