_aBusiness Description: Our proposed project, Escafe, is an eco-friendly coffee shop that aims to offer beyond the usual coffee flavors and delight their customers with their unique and premium coffee. It also aims to promote Philippine-sourced specialty coffee beans, as well as ethical and sustainable coffee production and consumption, by practicing environmental sustainability and supporting local coffee farmers. The said coffee shop will be located at Tiendas del Parian, Muralla, cor. San Francisco St., Intramuros, Manila. The business made Escafe is derived from the word escape. People tend to desire for escape as a response to a certain stimulus and is believed to be part of the human condition. It believes that a great cup of coffee is a moment-a moment of escape that can lead to something great. The business is a limited partnership composed of two (2) general partners and eight (8) limited partners. Aside from the proprietors, the business will also hire a store manager who will be in charge of keeping an eye on daily activities and ensuring that everything works efficiently. The business will also hire one cashier/barista who will work on an eight-hour shift and is responsible for making quality beverages, working the cash register, as well as cleaning and stocking the store. A total 500,000 pesos will serve as the initial investment of the business which will be enough to cover the expenses for the first few months of the business as it expected to gain sales and profit months after its launching. All transactions and business operations will be aligned by the rules and regulation of the government to assure that taxes and business responsibilities will be abided by the business organization Escafe is a business with two (2) general partners, eight (8) limited partners, a store manager, and a barista/cashier. The store manager is in charge of monitoring the daily operations and making sure that everything runs well. They must possess a bachelor's degree in business administration or a closely related field, three years of minimum managerial-level retail experience, good leadership abilities, and the ability to manage and motivate others. Additionally, they must be focused on providing first-rate customer service and be informed about key business management procedures. Moreover, the barista/casher is in charge of taking payments, ensuring that prices and quantities are correct, assisting customers by answering questions and explaining or recommending products, as well as preparing and serving customer's a variety of coffee drinks. They should also have knowledge of how to make coffee and experience in doing so. All these responsibilities and specifications are set to ensure efficiency in terms of work and to make sure that everything is smooth sailing.
