_aABSTRACT: Inventory management is vital for businesses, including the retail industry. Two common replenishment practices are buffer inventory and min-max inventory replenishment systems. Given the lack of literature regarding the comparison between the two, this research aims to identify the superior system. Comparing buffer and min-max inventory replenishment systems in Quiapo's bustling retail scene, this study compares their performance on demand variability, lead times, stock levels, and customer satisfaction. The researchers surveyed 182 retail stores through a survey, tackling the type of inventory replenishment system they use and the factors that affect their inventory. The findings of the study revealed that there is a significant difference in inventory. The findings of the study revealed that there is a significant difference in inventory management performance in terms of customer satisfaction. Conversely, there is no significant difference in demand variability, lead times, and managing stock levels. Comparing the sums of responses from buffer inventory replenishment and min-max inventory replenishment system, the latter returned more positive responses. The researchers conclude that using the min-max inventory replenishment system is the better option for real stores.
