_b _b _c _aABSTRACT: The agricultural landscape in the Philippines, deeply rooted in rice cultivation, faces pressing challenges amid a growing population and evolving economic dynamics. Traditional rice planting methods, reliant on manual labor, present obstacles to efficiency and sustainability. To address these challenges, this study introduces an innovative approach: the development and implementation of a solar-powered riceb transplanter. Through quantitative approach with experimental research design, this study comprehensively evaluated the effectiveness, efficiency, and economic implications of the solar-powered rice transplanter. Results demonstrated its capability to streamline planting processes, significantly enhancing efficiency compared to traditional methods. Moreover, farmers positive perceptions underscore its transformative potential for enhancing agricultural productivity and sustainability. This stidy aims to iontroduce an alternative device for gasoline-powered rice transplanters and traditional rice planting methods. By computing and comparing, the soalr-powered rice planter takes 0.4 seconds per seedling, whereas traditional rice transplanting requires 1 second per seedling. Working together with local farmers during the testing phase not only helped share information but also made the community feel more empowered and in control of the new technology being introduced. Recommendations for refinement and promotion include enhancing mobility, addressing durability concerns, exploring financial support mechanisms, and continuing collaboration with farmers for ongoing improvement. By harnessing renewable energy and engaging community participation, this study paves the way for inclusive agricultural development, offering a promising glimpse into thje future of sustainable farming practices. _u |
