_aABSTRACT: STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM: 1. What are the best practices and methodologies for integrating the hardware components of wearable technology with software systems to ensure reliable and real-time transmission of emotional signals, and how can this integration be optimized for user-friendliness and accessibility for individuals with ASD and their caregivers? 2. How can software applications for emotion-sharing on wearable devices be developed to provide a user-friendly and intuitive interface, considering the varying communication abilities and sensory sensitivities of individuals with ASD, and what design principles can optimize user experience? 3. How does the consistent use of wearable devices equipped with emotion-sharing software impact the emotional understanding and social interactions of individuals with ASD, and to what extent does it contribute to their overall well-being and quality of life? RESEARCH METHODOLOGY: The T.U.N.E. Band has shown great promise in helping individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and their caregivers when expressing and managing emotions. The study assessed the acceptance and impact of the device and its application through detailed feedback. Features of the applicantion and the device such as emotion-sharing were highly praised for improving user experience, The design and functionality of the wearable, including its comfort and real-time emotion exchange, also received positive reviews. Data indicated the emotions such as Happy and Mad were commonly used, suggesting the device's role in both positive interactions and in identifying stress points. Despite needing some improvements in design and comfort, the T.U.N.E. Band's essential features have been beneficial, significantly aiding ASD individuals and their caregivers in emotional communication. CONCLUSION: T.U.N.E. Band, a smart wearable device, shows promising improvements in emotional understanding and communication for individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and their parents/caregivers. Noticeably enhancing users well-being and emotional intelligence. The study highlights the importance of ongoing user feedback and iterative design in refining the device's usability and functionality. Overall, the T.U.N.E. Band represents a significant technological advancement, offering substatntial support for individuals with ASD to enhance their daily communication and potentially lead more independent, high-quality lives. RECOMMENDATION: To maximize the effectiveness of the wearable device, the following recommendations are offered by the researchers to improve this study: (1) adding GPS for tracking safety, (2) making the device small and comfortable to accommodate users with varying sensory needs, (3) including a long-lasting battery for continuous use, (4) allowing for extra data collection to enhance the accuracy of the algorithm, (5) guaranteeing seamless connectivity through Bluetooth Low Energy or NFC technologies, and (6) the need for the involvement of a specialist.
