_aABSTRACT: STATEMENT OF THE PROBLEM: In additional electoral systems, the lack of a secure, efficient, and foolproof method for voter identification and attendance tracking poses significant challenges that compromise the integrity and security of elections. Vulnerable to various types of fraud, such as voter impersonation and multiple voting, these sytems can distort election results and erode public trust. Inefficient processes and human errors in verifying IDs and signatures cause long lines at polling stations, discouraging voter participation and potentially disenfranchising eligible voters. Additionally, many individuals, particularly those from marginalized groups, may lack the necessary identification documents, hindering their ability to vote and reducing overall democratic participation. Consequently, these inadequacies can lead to the inclusion of draudelent votes and the exclusion of legitimate ones, undermining the accuracy and legitimacy of election outcomes and calling into question the credibility of elected officials and the overall electoral process. RESEARCH METHODOLOGY: The research design and procedures employed to evaluate a Biometrics Voting Attendance System that integrates fingerprint and face recognition technologies. The methodology involves using both quantitative and experimental approaches to thoroughly access the system's accuracy, efficiency, and user acceptance. Key components include the hardware and software integration, involving specific biometric sensors and programming languages, as well as controlled experimental simulations to mimic real voting scenarios. The research in conducted within Parola, Tondo, Manila, with comprehensive data collection and analysis to gauge the system's performance, reliability, and user feedback. The ultimate goal is to provide concrete, measurable insights into the system's functionality and its potential to enhance electoral processes. SUMMARY OF FINDINGS: A survey of 100 respondents, mostly female, found that all had previous voting experience but varied in their satisfaction levels. Factors affecting satisfaction included attendance validation clarity, polling station accessibility, and overall organization. The respondents overwhelmingly preferred the VoterTrace system, over manual due to its user-friendliness and accuracy. Most respondents reported high satisfaction with the system after implementation, suggesting it improves the voter experience and engagement. Feedback for improvement included enhancing design aesthetics and camera quality to make the system more user-friendly, accurate, and reliable. CONCLUSION: TheVoterTrace: Election Finderprint and Face Recognition Biometrics Voting Attendance System was developed to address the inefficiencies and accessibility challenges of traditional paper-based attendance processes in elections, particularly for individuals with visual impairements or elderly voters. A survey of 100 respondents investigated the effectiveness of the VoterTrace system, exploring their experiences, satisfaction levels, and suggestions for improvement. The findings revealed mixed ratings for overall satisfaction, indicating varied factors influencing voter perception beyond attendance. Respondents expressed dissatisfaction with the manual attendance process, highlighting its efficiencies and accessibility challenges, especially for those with poor eyesight or advanced age. In contrast, the overwhelming preference for and satisfaction with the VoterTrace system underscored its efficacy in addressing these shortcomings. The system's ease of use, accuracy, and convenience were particularly lauded, indicating its potential to streamline the voting process and enhance voter engagement. However, suggestions for improvement, such as enhacing system design and camera quality, highlighted opportunities for further refinement to ensure seamless operation and user acceptance. Overall, the VoterTrace system presents a promising solution for modernizing the voting process, with implications for increasing voter participation and strengthening democratic processes in future elections. RECOMMENDATIONS: The researchers completely support any driven individual who wants to improve their thesis and prototype on the election fingerprint and face recognition biometric voting attendance system. The researchers collaborative effort has laid a strong foundation for the integration of cutting-edge biometric technology into the election process. This method has the potential to significantly improve voter authentication, election integrity, and administrative efficiency. The researchers are united in their commitment to innovation and quality, and the researchers think that committing this research to skilled hands will accelerate its progress and profoundly shape the future landscape of political processes. The multidisciplinary character of this project needs a collaborative effort that draws on a wide range of knowledge and viewpoints. The researchers are certain that additional study and improvement of this biometric voting technology will result in concrete advances, increasing confidence and efficiency in democratic processes. The researchers also empahsize the importance of integrating government ID recognition into the system, ensuring that the biometric information of voters is authenticated accurately. Furthermore, proper modification in the system which falitates the identification of unregistered voters is also recommended, which can allow for the inclusion of demographic data such as age and birthday to refine the electoral process. Future researchers can also include the purging of deceased and inactive voters from database, maintaining the integrity of voter rolls. To safeguard the system's back end, a robust authorization and authentication measure can also be implemented, restricting access to authorized personnel and ensuring the encryption of sensitive data.
