_aABSTRACT: This study was conducted to determine the extent of practice on Interdisciplinary Healthcare Team Performance of Ospital ng Tondo. This study sought to answer the respondent's extent of practice on Interdisciplinary healthcare team process in terms of leadership, communication, coordination, conflict management and team cohesion; extent of practice of interdisciplinary healthcare team performance; extent of condition of the mediating variable such as workplace condition and workplace resources; significant difference among the respondent's interdisciplinary healthcare team process and interdisciplinary healthcare team performance when grouped according to demographic profile; significant relationship between the respondent's interdisciplinary healthcare team process and interdisciplinary healthcare team performance; and lastly the significant relationship between the respondent's perceived extent of condition of the mediating variables and interdisciplinary healthcare team performance. Descriptive-correlational design was utilized in the study. A 59-item questionnaire originally developed by Rosseau and adapted by Dr. Temkin-Greener et al, entitled: Interdisciplinary Scale was used as the instrument for data collection. Permission to adapt and modified was granted. Based on the result, it revealed that four out of five team process domain were in moderate extent of practice. Only team cohesion got high extent of practice. It showed that majority of the team process domain are in average level. The quality and style of leaderships acted as predictor of the team process domain. Consequently, it reflected that the healthcare team experienced predicaments to fully work with each other and maximize the full potential of the healthcare team. On the other hand, the interdisciplinary healthcare team performance revealed to be in moderate extent of practice. The coincides with the moderate extent of interdisciplinary team dynamics which can then transpire in the delivery of care and services that will be rendered. Moreover, the mediating variables got interpretation of poor workplace condition and very poor workplace resources. As to the highlights of the study, only the occupation got significant difference among the respondent's interdisciplinary healthcare team process and interdisciplinary healthcare team performance when grouped according to demographic profile. Further it resulted that there is a significant relationship between the respondent's interdisciplinary healthcare team process and interdisciplinary healthcare team performance. In addition, only the workplace resources surfaced as significant in relation to interdisciplinary healthcare team performance. In a health institution like a hospital, it is expected that an optimum level of collaborative dynamics must be practiced at all times. But significantly, the findings showed that four out of five team domains only resulted in moderate extent of practice namely, Leadership, Communication, Coordination and Conflict Management. Such domains are considered as areas of concern that needs prompt and profound resolution to achieve the optimal delivery of care and services. Thus, addressing the said team predicaments can pave the way to maximized the team potential and enhanced team performance. Based on the result of the study, a Team Development Program was formulated to address the concern of the health professionals of Ospital ng Tondo. Such program has three components and names as: Leadership and Management Seminar-Workshop; Professional Communication Seminar-Workshop and Conflict Management Seminar-Workshop.
