_aABSTRACT: Performance of Physical Assessment is one of the nursing skills that can indicate the client's health status upon hospital stay. In a systematic and precise manner of execution, it can obtain data of importance in tailoring a plan and implementation of care. The purpose of the study is to assess the physical assessment competencies of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila Third Year Nursing Students as basis of Related Learning Exposure enhancement. Specifically, the study prospected to know the level of competency of PLM students in their performance of assessment techniques, which are inspection, palpation, percussion and auscultation. The study also aimed to recognize the PLM Third Year Nursing Students strengths and weaknesses in performing the different assessment techniques as applied to the different body systems but excluding the urinary and reproductive system. The study used the descriptive method of research involving the collection of data to answer the questions concerning the current status of the subject of the study. Simple Random Sampling Technique was used to obtain the study's data that gave the respondents equal chances to be selected as sample and Measures of Central Tendency was used, specifically the weighted mean as the study's statistical treatment. The study concludes that the students are barely competent in performing its four techniques. In general, they are also barely competent in performing physical assessment with respect to the general survey and the different body systems. In line with the results of the study, the researchers proposed focused areas of recommendation that can enrich the competence of PLM Third Year Nursing Students in performing the physical assessment geared towards enhancement of clinical exposures.
