_aABSTRACT: This study aims to identify the nursing students learning behaviour and its relationship to the theoretical knowledge with regards to individual reporting. Specifically, it sought to answer the following questions: What is the frequency level of the Students Learning Behaviour on Individual Reporting? What is the level of theoretical knowledge on individual reporting in terms of post quiz? Is there a significant relationship between the frequency level of students learning behaviour and the level of theoretical on individual reporting? Descriptive-correlational research was utilized in the study. It is an approach on the research used to describe relationships among variable rather than to infer cause-and effect-relationship. The researchers utilized such method since the study focuses in determining the relationship of the student learning behavior and the theoretical knowledge in the individual reporting. The researcher wanted to know if the following behaviour of the learner taking place in individual reporting can facilitate in the development of their knowledge. The theoretical knowledge of the learner was measured by the grades of their post exam. By determining these two variables the researcher will recognize that the following behaviour had an effect on the theoretical knowledge of the learner based on post-test. The descriptive-correlational research type determines the relationship between the two variable (x) and (y) if the relationship is perfect, very high, high moderate, slight or negligible. (Calmurin, 2004). Student's learning behaviour and the theoretical knowledge are following variables that would be determines its relationship by this study. The study utilized purposive sampling with year level of third year nursing students as the respondent. Since purposive sampling method according to Polit (2004), is a non-probability sapling method in which the researcher selects participants based on personal judgement about which ones will be most representative or informative. It is also called as judgemental sampling. Hence, the researchers utilized the following criteria in selected respondents: must be enrolled in the PLM-College of Nursing for the first semester of school year 2009-2010, practicing individual reporting on the subject pharmacology, utilized post test after the individual reporting. The researchers utilized both the self-made questionnaire and the respondent's post tests grades in pharmacology as a tool in gathering needed information to answer the specific questions presented in the study. The self-made questionnaire was used to determine whether the specific behaviour during and after individual reporting affects the theoretical knowledge of nursing students towards the subject-Pharmacology. On the other hand, the post test grades in pharmacology were used to measure the knowledge of the respondents. The post test grades were given by their corresponding professor based from the exam, which was made by the professor. To answer the questions raised in the first chapter, the following statistical treatments will be used. The formula for weighted mean was utilized. It was used to obtain the average on each questions presented to the questionnaire. The mean score of the grades in post test was computed by dividing the sum of each respondents average score in the post tests to the total number of respondents who participated in the study. The said formula is used to determine the average score of the whole population based from the post examination. The significant relationship between the two variables will be tested by means of the Pearson R or the Product-Moment correlation coefficient formula. The said formula was utilized to measure the correlation between the two variables stated in the study. Based on the findings of the studies, it was revealed that, the interpretation of the mean score of nursing students on who are able to ask questions to the reporter or professor relevant to the topic discussed for clarifications moderately evident; the interpretation of the mean score of nursing students who listen to the reporter instead of reading their book is moderately evident; the interpretation of the mean score of nursing students who take down notes while listening to the reporter's discussion is moderately evident, the interpretation of the mean score of nursing students who recite every chance they get to express what they understand is moderately evident; the interpretation of the mean score of nursing students who are able to give rationalization when it comes to giving drugs to the client related to the information provided by the reporter is moderately evident; the interpretation of the mean score of nursing students who were asked by their professor for a recap of last week's discussion, as a listener, they were able to recite the essential information needed is moderately evident; the interpretation of the mean score of nursing students learning behavior on individual reporting is moderately evident, 1.15% of the respondents has an excellent grade based on post tests, 62.07% of the respondents has a grade on post tests that fall under Good-Very Good, 26.44% of the respondents has a grade on post test that fall under Passed - Satisfactory, 10.34% of the respondents has a failing grade based on their post tests. Hence, from the findings of the study, the following conclusions are derived: The frequency level of the Students Learning Behaviour on Individual Reporting is 2.67 which signify that is moderately evident. The level of theoretical knowledge on individual reporting in terms of post quiz is 82.72% which signifies that the knowledge of the 3rd year students on the subject Pharmacology is good-very good. There is a significant relationship between the frequency level of students learning behaviour and the level of theoretical knowledge on individual reporting. The post test is the best predictor of the effectiveness of individual reporting. Based on the summary of findings and conclusion, the researchers offer the following recommendations: The teachers ay periodically assess the students learning behaviour thru continued guidance and evaluation of students. With the result of their assessment, areas of that are identified may be improve or developed. The students may focus on the area of learning behaviour that are helpful identified by the study. They may also attend seminars or school programs that aim to enhance their learning behaviour. The Dean together with the Nursing Faculty member may advice a program to strengthen and enhance students learning behaviour. The data in this study may be used by the faculty to produce a program to enhance students learning behaviour.
