_b _b _c _aABSTRACT: The leadership style of the faculty greatly affects the academic performance of the student nurses. Undoubtedly, the faculties understand the flow of the classroom discussion which made them leaders in their respective rights. The different leadership styles of the faculties could possibly fall under Autocratic, Democratic and Laissez-Faire Style respectively. Most of the faculty understands that leadership styles include deciding and implementing of plans that goes together with a good classroom management in order to create a good learning environment wherein classroom discussion goes smoothly despite of occasional interruptions. This study was conducted in order to determine the effectiveness of the leadership styles of the faculty of PLM-College of Nursing in relation to classroom management. The Descriptive-correlational research design was used in the study which examines the relationships that exist in the situation. The demographic profile of the faculty of PLM-College of Nursing was gathered using an interview method while the questionnaire was personally given to the 60 respondents consisting of 2nd, 3rd and 4th nursing students from Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila. Based from the findings of the study, most of the faculty respondents have Master of Arts Degree, who are currently employed at the PLM-College of Nursing for 6-10 years and most have experienced Hospital or Institutional Health Care Students evaluation reveals that democratic leadership style prevails among the three when it comes to the extent of leadership style. In relation to classroom management, democratic leadership has the greatest effect commonly used by the faculty. The researchers found out that there is no significant relationship between demographic profiles of the faculty to the extent of their leadership style but there is a significant relationship between the extent and effectiveness of each leadership style of the Faculty of PLM-College Nursing in relation to Classroom Management based in the students evaluation. _u |
