The null hypothesis raised in the study were 1) There is no significant relationship between the socio-demographic profile of the parent and their acceptance; 2) There is no significant relationship between the socio-demographic profile of the child and their coping score and 3) There is no significant relationship between the parent's acceptance and the child's coping score. The following were tested at a 0.05 level of significance. The researchers employed the descriptive survey type of research design. The total used was constructed by the researchers in which various questionnaire guides specific to cancer and coping was used as a basis. The researches utilized purposive sampling technique wherein criteria set were as follows: the child respondent must be 10 -17 years old, diagnosed with any type of cancer regardless of the stage, seeking medical help on the designated institution, must understand spoken and written Filipino language and must have parental consent to participate to provide all the necessary information needed by the researchers. On the other hand the participating parent respondents will be qualified if they fall under the following criteria: must be the parent of the above mentioned child respondent and must understand spoken and written Filipino language and must consent to the study. Nine pairs of a parent and a child were qualified to the above criteria set by the researchers. The researchers believe that this study will be of great significance to the child and their family, and to those involve in the nursing care and nursing services. On the data collected by the researchers, the relationship between the parent's acceptance and the coping of Filipino children with cancer was assessed. The study shows that the personal profile of the child respondent (age, sex, religion, and educational attainment) and the parent respondent *age, sex, educational attainment and level of income), and significantly the parent's acceptance in terms of fostering family integration, maintaining self-stability and parent-child interaction affect the coping of Filipino children with cancer.
