_aABSTRACT: The study was generally conducted to determine the occupational stress and prevention modes of nurse educators at Manila Doctors College as an input for a wellness program. It sought answers to the questions specifically the demographic profile of the respondents in terms of Age, Civil Status, and Length of Service; their level of occupational stress in terms of Intrapersonal Factors - as to Physical, Psychological, Socio-cultural, Developmental, and Spiritual belief system, the Interpersonal Factors, as well as the Extra personal Factors; the extent of practice of Primary, Secondary, and Tertiary prevention modes, if there is significant difference between the levels of occupational stress when the respondents were grouped in terms of their demographic profile, if there is a significant relationship between the levels of occupational stress and the extent of practice of the prevention modes, and finally based on the result of the study, the input to wellness program that can be developed to improve the nurse's work ability. This study was a descriptive type of research, wherein the researcher obtained and adopted her ideas and patterns from different reference materials such as books, magazines, journals and others materials related to the topic to develop the self-made questionnaire. There was no sampling technique done in this study, instead the researcher made use of the whole 145 population of the nurse educators at Manila Doctors College. The statistical procedures utilized to determine the profile of the nurse educators were frequency and percentage distribution. To obtain the level of occupational stress and extent of practice of the prevention modes of the nurse educators used the weighted mean while the One-Way ANOVA or Analysis of Variance was used to know if there was significant difference between the levels of occupational stress among nurse educators when grouped in terms of their demographic profile and lastly, the Pearson's Correlation Coefficient with Student's t test was to find out the significant relationship between the level of occupational stress and the extent of practice of the prevention modes. The results showed that most of the nurse-educator respondents were thirty-one to forty years old, were married and have stayed for one to three years as nurse educators at Manila Doctors College. It also showed that there was a moderate level of occupational stress in terms of the intrapersonal, interpersonal and extrapersonal responses/factors. There was a very high extent of practice of the primary prevention mode, and a high extent of the secondary and tertiary prevention mode, and a high extent of practice of the secondary and tertiary prevention modes as reflected by the weighted mean of their answers to the 5-point Likert scale. From the aforementioned findings, it was concluded that there was no significant difference between the levels of occupational stress of nurse educators when grouped in terms of their age, civil status and length of service, therefore the null hypothesis number 1 was accepted. There was a low significant relationship between the levels of occupational stress and the extent of practice of the prevention modes; therefore the null hypothesis number 2 was rejected. Therefore it was recommended that The Nurse Educators should continuously become aware of their own level of occupational stress and adopt an attitude to transform distress into eustress. Likewise, their students should have an overview on how their professors had stress at school and how they practiced prevention modes. In this way, they would know how to manage themselves in front of their professors which will lead to harmonious relationship. Furthermore, the administration should made use of this study as a baseline data for the level of occupational stress experienced by these nurse educators as well as the extent of practice of prevention modes, thus, will help them provide favorable working environment and atmosphere in order for them to function at their utmost potential. And finally, future researchers can employ this for future reference and as an input for a wellness programs to nurse educators in the academe.
