_aABSTRACT:This study intended to find out musculosketal problems for the spinal and lower extremity associated with prolonged standaing (aim 1), stress relieving activities done by the respondents (aim 2) and the physical therapy drawn from the study. A two part survey questionnaire was given to 84 respondents and only 79 (94.05) passed the inclusion criteria. Questions included musculosketal symptoms associated with prolonged standing and Likert Scale for stress relieving activities. Data were analyzed using IBM SPSS version 20. Common musculosketal problems experienced by the respondents in spinal area are lower back pain (85.48%), knee pain (4.07%); for the lower back pain (85.48%) upper back pain (10.44%) and neck pain (12.06%) and thigh pain (2.46%). The most frequently used stress relieving strategy is changing body position (wm 3.95). Musculosketal disorders may be induced by erroneous body mechanics such as prolonged standing. Recommendations include strengthening of the core muscles and doing stress relieving activities such as wearing of slippers after work.
