_aABSTRACT: Globally, breastfeeding is currently being replaced with less effective type of infant feedings which puts the health of an infant not in optimal state. One factor which contributes to the discontinuance of breastfeeding before the six month period is the need of mothers to return to work just right after their official leave. To compensate with this, the Department of Health in cooperation with the Department of Labor and Employment, had implemented the RA No 10028 or Expanded Breastfeeding Act of 2009. This includes the establishment of Lactation station which is an area in the workplace where mothers can exclusively breastfeed their infants. The study aims to determine hoe helpful or valuable the lactation station is working mothers. It specifically seeks to determine the infant feeding practices of working mothers in Quezon City Hall; frequency of utilization of Lactation Stations by the working mothers in Quezon City Hall; the level of effectiveness of lactation station program as perceived by breastfeeding working Quezon City Hall in terms of space, time and support; presence of significant difference in the level of effectiveness of lactation station program as perceived by breastfeeding working mothers of Quezon City Hall when grouped according to their infant feeding practices; and, presence of significant relationship in the level of effectiveness of lactation station program as perceived by breastfeeding working mothers of Quezon City Hall when grouped according to their infant feeding practices. The research is limited to the Breastfeeding Working Mothers of the Quezon City Hall. No sampling technique was done due to access of the complete population. A validated survey questionnaire was used in order to obtain the needed information. Collected data were encoded and were treated using descriptive statistics such as frequency, means, percentage distribution and inferential statistics such as Analysis of Variance and Pearson Correlation Analysis. In general, results show that the majority of working mothers utilized mixed feeding with a computed percentage distribution of 43%. Also, it was found out that most of the mothers always utilize the lactation station (43.33%). The level of effectiveness of lactation program as perceived by breastfeeding working mothers of Quezon City Hall in terms of time, space and support were over all perceived as extremely valuable. No significant difference was noted in the level of effectiveness of lactation station program as perceived by breastfeeding working mothers of Quezon City Hall when grouped according to their infant feeding practices. However, a significant relationship was noted between the two variables. A careful perusal of the results and conclusions to the following recommendation, first, enhancement of the lactation station program shall focus on the provision of additional allotted breaks aside from lunch breaks for mothers to express milk or breastfeed, encouraging of working mothers to provide their own breast pumps which facilitate easier expression of milk and promotion on utilization of lockers where mothers can store breastfeeding equipments. Second, further studies could be conducted in relation to the scope of the study with regards to the locale and respondents must widen to facilitate a more reliable study which will cover a larger area and population, longer time to conduct the study which will facilitate an increase in the population; and, provision of deeper understanding through education regarding the electrical hazards and benefits to working mothers.
