_b _b _c _aABSTRACT: Registered Nurses for Health Enhancement and Local Service Project otherwise known as RN Heals Project is a program intended to improve access of the country's poor to quality healthcare with social services through creating a pool of competent nurses by providing learning development to the nurse-trainees. Although RN Heals Program in viewed to be a step in decreasing the high rate of nurses unemployment, there are many issues about the program concerning the nurse-trainees satisfaction with the program. NARS ng Bayan (Abenojar, 2011), an association for community health nurses and health advocates emphasizes that those nurse-trainees under RN Heals Program experienced delayed compensations and overworking. A nurse-trainee may feel satisfied or dissatisfied depending on his/her perception on the program. Some factors may still contribute to the satisfaction that a person perceives such as work setting, supervision, nature of work and interpersonal relationships. In line with this, this study specifically intends to assess the level of satisfaction among nurses under RN Heals Program. In order to accomplish this, the researchers made use of the quantitative descriptive research design to describe and explain the profile (independent variable) and level of satisfaction of nurses (dependent variable) and at the same time, determine the differences between these two variables, respectively. The researchers utilized a self-made questionnaire constructed based on queries with regards to the RN Heals program implementation. It is also structured based on the seven parameters set by the researchers which composed of: program policies, stipend/benefits, supervision, ward assignment, nature of work, professional growth, and interpersonal relationship. Upon using different statistical procedures, the researchers determine the profile of the respondents and majority ages 20-24 years old, single, female, Manilans and are mostly assigned in the wards. Moreover, the respondents are satisfied with the RN Heals Program as a whole. Furthermore, the researchers determine the difference in level of satisfaction of the respondents when they are grouped in terms of the demographic profile. The F values 0.88 and 1.92 correspond to the scores gathered in terms of age, gender, location and civil status, respectively which are less than 3.23. Thus, we accept the null hypotheses signifying that there is no significant difference observed level of satisfaction and the 2 variables mentioned. Likewise, the t-values of 0.44 and 1.34 correspond to the scores gathered in terms of gender and location respectively which is less than 1.671 accepting the null hypothesis that there is no significance difference between the level of satisfaction and the 2 variables mentioned. Whereas when level of satisfaction is grouped according to ward assignment, it revealed a t-Value of 2.42 which is greater than 1.671 level therefore, the null hypothesis is rejected implying that there is a significant difference on the later variable. _u |
