_aABSTRACT: Background: Physical therapy services are given by both licensed physical therapist and physical therapy intern in most PT clinics in the Philippines. Licensed physical therapist, having acquired clinical expertise through experience is more knowledgeable in handling the patient's respective cases and is able to do treatment procedures with mastery using their clinical skills relative to the patient's needs. The licensed physical therapist provide PT services to patients and at the same time supervising PT interns as they train in the clinic. But with some clinics providing services to many patients, the licensed PT may be outnumbered by its patients and may sometimes lead to PT interns being left alone to treat and assess after an initial supervision from their licensed PT staff. Although some patients are satisfied by the treatment and services provided by a PT intern, some patients prefer to be treated by only licensed Physical therapists. Objective: The purpose of this is to investigate the level of satisfaction of patients on services rendered by a physical therapy intern and a licensed physical therapist and to determine if there is a significant difference between them. Design: the study utilized a descriptive design to obtain and explain the views of the respondents. Methods: The researchers have sent permission letters to selected affiliated hospitals and centers of PLM where for approval to conduct the study on their respective PT department. After approval the survey was conducted. One hundred and fifty one respondents (94 males, 57 females) from different chosen affiliated hospitals and centers participated. They were given questionnaires which consist of an informed consent and a 17-item survey-questionnaire in a likert scale form with four domains such as information , caring, effectiveness, and general questions was answered by the respondents. Respondents were oriented as to the purpose of the research, its significance and to the instrument that was used as well. The survey proper started after the patient's treatment session was done upon completion. The questionnaire were gathered and kept by the researchers. Demographic profiles of the respondents were tallied and were subjected to statistical analysis after the completion of the whole survey event. Results and Conclusion: After a thorough data collation and analysis, the researchers concluded that patients are satisfied with services provided by both Physical therapy interns and Licensed Physical therapists, although patients were more satisfied with services provided by Licensed Physical therapists will all of the four domains, especially with the Effectiveness. However the research also showed that there was no significant difference between the level of patient's satisfaction of Physical therapy services between a Physical Therapy Intern and a PT staff.
