_aABSTRACT: This study was conducted to assess the spiritual health of staff nurses of the three hospitals owned and operated by Health Global International Inc., specifically Manila Wast Medical Center, Marikina Valley Medical Center and Commonwealth Hospital and Medical Center. It specifically determined the extent of ideal of spiritual health, personal state of spiritual health and help gained by the respondents from their work place in four4 areas - personal area, communal area, environmental area, and transcendental area. It also measured tyhe significant difference of the respondent's ideal state to their personal state in four areas of spiritual health as well as the significant relationship of the personal experience of the respondents to the help they gained from their workplace to develop their spiritual health. The result of this undertaking would be the basis of the formulation of staff nurses with the inclusion of spiritual health. Descriptive design through survey method was used in this study. The Spiritual Health and Life-Orientation Measure (SHALOM) questionnaire developed by J. Fisher was utilized in this undetaking. For stastical treatment, the researcher utilized weighted mean, Pearson r for correlation to analyze and to interpret the gathered data. A total of 177 staff nurses participated in the survey from the three hospitals. The results indicated that the respondent's ideal state of spiritual health in terms of personal area, communal area, and transcendental area arevery high while high on the environmental area. The same result was also presented on the respondent's personal state of spiritual health. The result also showed that the help gained by the respondents from their workplace in developing their spiritual health in all areas of spiritual health are high in extent. Moreover, there is a significant difference in the respondents ideal and personal state in four areas of spiritual health. It was also noted that there is a significant relationship and moderate correlation in the respondents personal atate and help gained from their workplace in the development of their spiritual health. The results were used as a basis for the development of staff developement program to enhance the spiritual health of staff nurses.
