_a _aABSTRACT: This article aims to analyse a new Portuguese online newspaper- Observador- in order to understand changes oin the media, focusing on two main aspects: first, new narrative forms; and second, the ways in which these new forms relate to readers. This online news project was launced in Portugal in May 2014, with a strong professional structure, led by journalists who are highly acknowledged professionals in the Portuguese media.
